Roofing & More Employee Spotlight: Rachel PattersonRachel Patterson, Administrative Assistant at Roofing & More, is one of the newest faces on our team. She started at her job in March 2014. In addition to being the all-important first impression of the company, Rachel schedules appointments with customers and provides them with any information they may need. She feels her greatest strength is her patience.

One of the reasons Rachel enjoys coming to work at Roofing & More is the great atmosphere. “This place has the best work environment,” she says. “I’ve never worked for a company that cares SO much about their employees!” She believes a company-wide dedication to the customer sets Roofing & More apart from other roofing companies in Northern Virginia. “We care about customer satisfaction from beginning to end of a project, and we are an honest company that wants to help our customers get the work done right.”

“Rachel has one of the best attitudes that I have seen in a long time,” says Todd Shaffer, General Manager. “She always has a smile on her face no matter the task at hand. She is definitely a vital part of the Roofing & More experience!”

Rachel is originally from Rappahannock, and studied photography at NOVA Community College for Art. She now puts her skills to use at her other job, a freelance photography business called Briarley Images.

Rachel and her boyfriend, James, have been together for four years but “aren’t ready for marriage just yet.” The couple has two Husky/Lab mixes. Rachel’s favorite place to dine out is Claire’s at The Depot in Warrenton, and her favorite TV show is Curiosity. If she could go anywhere for a day, she would scuba dive and explore a sunken ship.

One of Rachel’s long-term goals is to be financially secure for whatever the future may hold. She would give others the following advice about life: “You can’t please everyone, so stop trying. Focus on you. Find out what makes you tick. Then vow to be the best version of you that you can be. You have a unique gift and a special purpose. Be proud, be purposeful, and don’t ever apologize for being you.”
