Roofing & More Employee Spotlight: Marie Hoffman Marie Hoffman, Chief Financial Officer of Roofing & More, is a longtime employee who just celebrated her tenth anniversary with the company. As CFO, she handles all deposits, payments and financial data, in addition to running background checks, handling new hire paperwork, and generally helping out whenever needed. Marie’s favorite thing about working for Roofing & More is the opportunity she has to grow and learn. “I started in the front office as an assistant and have worked my way up the ladder. I have learned so much and still continue to learn each day.”

“Marie is in the position she is in because she earned it, not because she is a Hoffman,” says Kyle Hoffman, president of Roofing & More. “She excels at managing the finances and the Human Resources division. Each day, week, month and year she continues to educate herself so she can better serve our customers and our employees. She lives our Mission each and every day, and has been a huge part of our success over the years.”

Marie feels Roofing & More is set apart from other Northern Virginia roof experts by its core values and mission. “They are not just words on paper,” she says. “If we make a mistake, we will make it right – no matter what. We’re also committed to giving back to our community. One of my favorite events is ‘Christmas in April.’ The entire company gets together at the job and completes a project for someone in need.”

Marie was born in New York, grew up in Virginia and currently lives in Catlett, VA. She has two children, a 10-year-old daughter, Leah, and a nine-year-old son, Dakota. The family also has three pets: a dog, a cat and an umbrella cockatoo. She and her boyfriend, Alex, have been together for a little over three years.

Marie recently purchased a home. Over the long term, her goal is to pay off her home before the loan date so she can pass it on to her children. If she could give others one piece of advice, it would be this: “Remember what is truly important in life. One day you will no longer be here and no one will remember how clean your house was or what food you made for dinner or what you gave them for Christmas – but they will remember the talks, the laughter and the love.”
