We’ve written many times before about why we have strategically partnered with GAF to provide “more” for our customers. We are able to offer our homeowners the best products, under the best warranties. GAF makes some of the highest quality roofing materials available, offers excellent training for our employees to expertly install their system, and supports our customers above and beyond most other companies. But their dedication to creating a better home doesn’t end there. This month, we want to highlight some of GAF’s community efforts around disaster relief.

Making a Difference

Not only does GAF generously provide aid to employees who are facing financial hardship after natural disasters through the GAF Cares Employee Relief Fund, they also make efforts to support the entire surrounding community. For example, GAF partnered with Good360 in 2018, giving more than $2 million in assistance after hurricanes Harvey and Michael. In 2019, GAF provided 56 truckloads of materials to help repair over 600 properties after major storms and tornadoes. Then, in 2021, GAF offered its 60,000-square-foot mobile warehouse rent-free as a redistribution center, so that Good360 could give out donated goods to nonprofits.

GAF continues to support communities because they believe that “resilience is the foundation on which we will build thriving, sustainable communities of the future.” With the increase in disastrous storms, heavy winds and wildfires, we know that GAF is more prepared than ever to make sure people have a roof over their heads and access to the care they need after a life-changing event.
